We are excited to announce that we are hosting the first mini-conference for the Gathering Point Rooted Women’s Ministry on July 29th at 9:00am. The event is free and open to all women in the community.
Brooke Stevens from Fayin Teaching Ministries will be the keynote speaker for the event. Brooke Stevens is an author, speaker, survivor, and encourager whose mission is to inspire others to grow in their faith. After a suicide attempt at age 18, she now shares her own, and the testimonies of others, to encourage women toward hope and spiritual growth in Jesus. You can learn more about hope in her devotional, ‘Heavenly Hope’ that was published in the book ‘Anchor in the Storm.’ In 2014, Brooke went on a mission trip to China and realized that many people around the world do not have access to a Bible. This led her to start Fayin Teaching Ministries in the beginning of 2021, a ministry based off donations that was founded with the purpose to share about the Lord with others. Fayin is Chinese. ‘Fa’ means to ‘send out’ and ‘yin’ means ‘voice.’ Brooke sees her calling as similar to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20. Brooke Stevens desires to help plant, cultivate, water and fertilize seeds of faith, but she leaves the growing up to God.
Abram Olsen will be leading worship along with members from the worship team and Kelly VanDame will be the main point of contact for the event. You can reach Kelly by emailing gprootedwomensministry@gmail.com.
